The Coles County fair starts tomorrow, here’s the whole list of events for the week.
7/31: Fair opens at noon. The merchant’s building will open at the same time. Carnival starts at 2:00. The little miss and queen pageants get underway at 6:00.
8/1: Carnival opens at 1:00. Later, it’s the first armband night, from 6-10pm. New this year, Lil Monster Trucks at 7:00 at the grandstand.
8/2: Harness racing at 12:30; kid’s day at the carnival (reduced ticket prices from 1-5pm); kid’s pedal pull at 5:30; truck and tractor pull at the grandstand at 6:00.
8/3: Carnival opens at 1:00. Armband night from 6-10pm. Twilight harness racing at 5:30. 4-H master showmanship competition at 6:00.
8/4: Harness racing at 12:30. Armband day at the carnival from 1-5pm. 4H livestock auction at 5:30. Truck and tractor pull at 6:30.
8/5: Harness racing at 12:30. Another armband day at the carnival from 1-5pm. Demolition derby and power wheel kids demo at 7:00.
8/6: Reduced prices at the carnival from 1-5pm. Professional bull riding at 7:00.
8/7: $2.00 carnival rides all day. Gospel sing at 7:00 with the Williamsons, Glory Way, and the Woodsmen.
