Nominees for the 50th Annual CMA Awards were announced live today on “Good Morning America,” and Eric Church, Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton top the list with five nominations each. Morris’s five nominations tie her with only three other musicians for five CMA Award nominations in a debut year by a female artist, while Stapleton’s nominations this year include his first for Entertainer of the Year.
Church’s five nominations give him a total of 22 nominations since his first in 2011 for New Artist of the Year.
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will co-host the show live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
