Another Illinois State Fair Building In Bad Shape
(Springfield, IL) — Add one of the Illinois State Fairground’s barns to the list of buildings in danger of falling in on itself. Illinois’ Capital Development Board this month asked for an emergency 100 thousand-dollars to pay for roof work on Barn 13 on the fairgrounds in Springfield. The CDB says without the work, the barn’s roof could cave in. Barn 13 is just the latest building at the fairgrounds to be declared unsafe and in need of thousands of dollars of construction work.
