Aggravated Home Repair Fraud Arrests Made

Mattoon Police arrested Brandon L. Reed, 26 years of age of Metamora, IL, as well as Gerald A.W. Reed, 29 years of age of Woodlawn, IL, for the offense of Aggravated Home Repair Fraud. The arrest occurred on 07/16/2018 at 5:42pm at Mattoon PD. The charges against both allege that on 07/13/2018 while in the 2800 block of Marion in Mattoon, both Gerald and Brandon approached an elderly female, telling her she needed roof repair work done to her residence. Both Gerald and Brandon then allegedly did minimal repair work to the residence, and overcharged for their services. Both Brandon and Gerald were taken to the Coles County Jail.
