
(New Bern, NC) — Residents of the Carolinas are being advised not to let their guard down despite Hurricane Florence being downgraded to a tropical storm. On NBC’s Meet the Press, New Bern, North Carolina Mayor Dana Outlaw said there is a rising concern about trees beginning to fall due to the saturated ground conditions. He says there is still a curfew in place for residents of North Carolina and they are being encouraged not to travel.
