Governor J.B. Pritzker is issuing an executive order aimed at getting an accurate count in the 2020 U.S. Census. The order creates a Census office within the state’s Department of Human Services, as well as a Census advisory panel. This year’s budget allots 29-million dollars toward the Census. Pritzker says the funds will go to outreach and education, as well as grants to community organizations in the state.
