ABOUT JOHN GORE
From the first time John Gore heard Elton John’s Crocodile Rock on the radio, he was hooked. He was only a kid, but Elton’s incredible songs and musicianship made John want to learn to play the piano and sing. And since the tender age of 10, John has been on the piano and mic, performing in bands from original and cover to touring and now tribute.
In 2012, John went back to his roots to celebrate the music that first inspired him to perform. He assembled a stellar cast of accomplished musicians to form Dogs of Society–The Ultimate Elton Rock Tribute. The new group had three goals: be authentic to Elton’s songs (one of the most epic rock catalogs of the modern era), perform everything live and make it rock just like Elton and his band would
do. In 2018, John and The Dogs created a new band, Billy the Kid–The Definitive Billy Joel Tribute, approaching the music of another ‘70s superstar (with another incredible catalog of tunes) with this same attention to detail and musicianship.
John, Dogs of Society and Billy the Kid can be found performing their all-live rock concert tributes to these two icons throughout the Midwest… with enthusiastic, all-ages crowds who love to sing along to the classic hits and deep cuts that have rocked a generation and then some.
