DAY ONE…THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT… Rain, heavy at times, is expected through early evening, along with isolated thunderstorms. Any storms are not expected to be severe.
If you are in Clark-Clay-Crawford-Cumberland-Effingham-Jasper-Lawrence and Richland counties, you could see additional storms late tonight. Any storms are not expected to be severe. These counties are also expecting minor flooding to develop along area rivers late this week.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY… Two periods of scattered thunderstorms are expected on Thursday. The first will be in the morning, with the second in the late afternoon into the evening. A few strong to locally severe storms are possible, with scattered damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall being the primary threats. There is also the threat of isolated large hail and a tornado or two.
