Illinois Schools Get Help From CARES Package
(McLean County, IL) — Illinois colleges and universities are getting help from a federal coronavirus relief act. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act is providing billions to the higher education emergency relief fund. Illinois colleges and universities set to receive millions in funding include Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Bradley University, Illinois Central College, and Heartland Community College. The institutions receiving funds must spend at least half on emergency financial aid to students. The remaining money is intended to reimburse campuses for losses during the pandemic.
