FOR SOUTHERN COLES...JASPER...WESTERN CLARK...RICHLAND...
CUMBERLAND...CLAY AND EASTERN EFFINGHAM COUNTIES...
At 657 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Kansas to Olney, moving northeast at 70 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Ste. Marie, Olney, Willow Hill, and Martinsville around 700 PM
CDT.
Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Wakefield, Flora Municipal Airport, Calhoun, Yale, Loxa, Fox Ridge
State Park, Rose Hill, Hazel Dell, Wendelin, and Hunt City.

At 658 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles southeast of Kansas, or 9 miles northwest of
Marshall, moving northeast at 70 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
