Edgar County Public Health Department Announces First Confirmed Positive Coronavirus Test for Edgar County, IL
Edgar County – The Edgar County The Edgar County Public Health Department (ECPHD) reports first confirmed case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Edgar County. A resident has tested positive and is in home isolation and recovering. Public Health officials are identifying and contacting all close contacts. Edgar County has one confirmed case at this time.
Everyone should consider themselves at risk for exposure to coronavirus and should stay home as much as possible. While at home everyone should self-monitor which means to monitor for fever and remain alert for cough, shortness of breath or sore throat.
Edgar Coumty Public Health Department, Edgar County ESDA, and all community partners are working tirelessly on our community-level response to COVID-19. It is extremely important that everyone help to stop the virus from spreading. ECPHD urges residents to stay home as much as possible, keep a safe distance from one another, wash your hands often, and cover your cough.
