UIPD Announces New Police Chief
(Champaign County, IL) — The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Police Department has a new chief. Officials announced yesterday that 34-year veteran Alice Cary will be taking over duties as chief and executive director of public safety starting July 20th. Her appointment must be approved by the Board of Trustees. Cary is currently chief of police at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
