Coles County Health Department Confirms Death of One Additional Coles County Resident with COVID-19
The Coles County Health Department is saddened to announce the death of one additional Coles County resident with COVID-19. We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to their family and friends. We ask for respect and privacy as they mourn the loss of their loved one in this very difficult time.
The Coles County Health Department is also reporting 34 additional laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Coles County COVID-19 updates for Dec. 30, as of 2:15 pm:
• New Cases: 34 (Since Dec. 29)
• Total Positive Cases: 4396
• Total Recovered: 4067 (+26)
• Active Recovering: 249 (+9)
• Current Hospitalizations: 8 (-2)
• Total Deaths: 72 (+1)
Coles County COVID-19 vaccination is currently in phase 1a per IDPH guidelines – Healthcare Workers. When the vaccination is available to the general public Coles County Health Department will update the media.
