Sexual Assault Counseling & Information Service (SACIS) to Hold Donation Drives for Items to Support Survivors of Sexual Assault

SACIS will be conducting donation drives to collect new clothes, personal hygiene items, toiletry supplies, and other care products for survivors of sexual assault. A list of needed items and sizes is available on our site: https://www.sacis.org/advocacy-resource-drive/.

Donation drives will take place at the 18^th Street Farmers Market (825 18^th Street) in Charleston on Saturday, August 21^st, Saturday, August 28^th, Saturday, September 4^th, Saturday, September 11^th, Saturday, September 18^th and Saturday, September 25^th from 7:30am until 11:30am. Donations can also be dropped off at SACIS on Thursdays, between 9am and Noon at 825 18^th Street.

Survivors of sexual assault frequently need new clothes and other products after completing a medical examination and to begin the healing process. SACIS medical advocates provide support to help survivors begin their healing and recovery process including new, fresh clothes and other items throughout the year.

SACIS, a certified regional rape crisis center, has been providing support for sexual assault survivors for 44 years in Coles, Cumberland and southern Clark counties.
