Kenny Chesney performed a surprise acoustic show at the Key West Theater in Florida on Thursday (September 30th) which was filmed for SiriusXM and Pandora Small Stage Series. It has been 29 months since Kenny played a show for his fans.
He said, “When we walked offstage at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge in May of 2019, I couldn’t have imagined it would be three years between those times I listen to No Shoes Nation pregaming on a Saturday afternoon. Hearing their voices singing back to me tonight…it makes you realize how precious life, friends, music and these connections truly are . . .”
There were only 200 in attendance at the intimate venue, and Kenny was able to weave in some of the album cuts that would, as he said, “get lost in a stadium.” He entertained the crowd for 100 minutes.
“Kenny Chesney: Live from the Key West Theater” will be rebroadcast on SiriusXM’s No Shoes Radio via satellite (ch. 57) and the SXM App on Friday (October 8th) at 9 p.m. ET, Saturday (October 9th) at 12 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. ET, and Sunday (October 10th) at 3 p.m. ET.
