Ashley Judd Reveals Mother Naomi Died Of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
(Undated) — Ashley Judd is revealing her mother, country music legend Naomi Judd, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Judd appeared today on Good Morning America to speak about her mother’s death and how the family has been coping. She said her family wanted to control the spread of information before an autopsy was released, revealing that her mother used a firearm to take her own life on April 30th. Naomi was set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame the day after her death, with Ashley saying her mother was unable to hang on after a battle with mental illness.
