This staged reading is being directed by local veteran director Scott Brooks and produced by first time producer Sarah Rundles. It will feature the acting talents of a few familiar faces in the community, Ann Bruehler, Payton Payne, Blake Richardson and Heather Siegel.
The show will run for two performances on September 22nd and 23rd at 7:30pm. All performances will be held at Charleston Elks Lodge #623 located at 720 6th St., Charleston, IL, 61920.
This delightful comedy tells the story of Nowak family of Buffalo, NY. They have always believed they were special, ever since the Blessed Mother appeared to Grandpa in his barbershop in 1942. Since then, the neighborhood has looked upon the Nowaks’ 20-foot commemorative shrine as a beacon of hope and faith. When one of the daughters, Ruth, decides to write and star in a one-woman show about the family miracle, she receives a deathbed confession from Grandma that threatens to test the family’s once unshakeable faith.
General admission for Miracle on South Division Street will be $12.00, senior admission $10.00 and student admission $5.00. Admission may be purchased at the door or online at www.charlestoncommunitytheatre.com.
