The Newton High School Bass Team invites area kids to Newton Lake for the Big Bass Bash Saturday, May 13, 2023. It’s open to young anglers from sixth grade to high school seniors. The entry fee is $10.00, and features cash and other prizes for the top three fish at each weigh-in and overall big bass. Check-in will start at 5:30 a.m. at the west boat ramp, and kids will fish from 7:00 to 1:00.
