Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps endorses Rep. Blaine Wilhour endorses in his race for re-election
(Beecher City, IL) –– Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps says State Representative Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City) is the one candidate in the race voters should trust to support law enforcement, uphold the Constitution, and prioritize the safety of our communities.
“Not only has Blaine Wilhour consistently voted to support law enforcement but he also is an ardent defender of our individual rights and freedoms,” Cripps said. “We need leaders at all levels of government who will not kowtow to the pressure from the political insiders and extremists who put their political agenda ahead of our Constitutional rights. As a school board member, when the Governor tried to force lockdowns during the pandemic, I worked hand in hand with Blaine to push back and do the right things for our children. As Sheriff, I’m proud to stand together in support of our 2nd Amendment rights. We need leaders who take their oath to uphold the Constitution seriously. Blaine Wilhour is a man of principle and integrity, and he has my full support and endorsement.”
Wilhour said far-left policies coming out of Springfield such as the SAFE-T Act and the state’s Sanctuary State status has only served to make our communities less safe.
“I’m honored to have the support of Sheriff Kevin Cripps. He understands the consequences of the bad policies coming from the Chicago Democrats that are funding my opponent,” Wilhour said. “These groups recruited my opponent and are funding his campaign. The teachers’ unions are in lock step with the effort to circumvent our immigration laws, take away our guns, and empower shadowy dark money groups transporting illegal immigrants from the border to the interior of the country. Make no mistake about it – our communities are less safe thanks to the actions of the people funding my opponent’s campaign.’’
In addition to Sheriff Cripps, Wilhour has the endorsement of the Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois State Rifle Association, Illinois Right to Life, National Federation of Independent Business, and the Illinois Family Institute.
The Primary Election in Illinois is March 19th.
