Lincoln Heritage Pheasants Forever Young Guns
The Lincoln Heritage Pheasants Forever Young Guns, the local youth competitive shotgun clay target shooting team, competed at the state SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) meet at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, IL on June 28th-30th.

The Young Guns returned with 2 champion squads, 2 medaling squads, and 7 medaling individuals. Vincent Will and Jake Fickes were also named to the Illinois All State Skeet team and the Illinois All State Sporting Clays Team.

In all, Young Guns had 31 athletes compete at the SCTP State Championships this past summer. They competed in the 6 events of doubles trap, handicap trap, doubles skeet, singles trap, skeet and sporting clays. They had 15 members shoot 25 straight targets and a number of personal best scores were posted.

The Lincoln Heritage Pheasants Forever Young Guns also sent 9 athletes to the SCTP National Championships that was held in Marengo, Ohio in mid July.
The Lincoln Heritage Pheasants Forever Young Guns is a local youth competitive clay target shooting team that competes in Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays. They practice weekly at the Charleston Sportsman Club and Olde Barn Sporting Clays and are trained in shooting skills and safety techniques.
