KICKS OFF JUNE 5 at CREDIT ONE STADIUM in CHARLESTON, SC
(Nashville) Seven consecutive Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Group of the Year, Old Dominion, spent 2024 headlining festivals across the country, and they caught a strong better-under-the-stars vibe. When it was time to get back to headlining their own shows, it was a unanimous decision to “take it outside.”
With their How Good Is That – World Tour, Old Dominion is ready to take their feeling good music to Odies across the country and beyond, by playing some of the nation’s most iconic amphitheaters, small stadiums and another two night-stand at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. Coming on the heels of seven straight shows at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium, the band of musical brothers kicks things off at Charleston, SC’s Credit One Stadium on June 5th.
Tickets for all markets except Greensboro will be available via an exclusive Odies fan presale beginning next Tuesday, February 25 at 10:00 AM local time through Thursday, February 27 at 10:00 PM local time. The general on-sale will start on Friday, February 28 at 10am local time. Tickets for Greensboro will be available via an exclusive Odies fan presale beginning Tuesday, March 4 at 10:00 AM local time through Thursday, March 6 at 10:00 PM local time. The general on-sale for Greensboro will start on Friday, March 7 at 10am local time. Fans can sign up for the Exclusive Fan Presale at weareolddominion.com
“There’s something special about the energy when you’re outside,” says lead singer/guitarist Matthew Ramsey. “It’s a whole other vibe. When you’re out there under the stars, that energy amplifies everything we’re doing. So after a year of playing all the festivals, it was the only way to match that crazy energy.”
Ramsey, guitarist/vocalist Brad Tursi, keyboardist/vocalist Trevor Rosen, bassist/vocalist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers built their sound – as well as career – taking the music they loved, getting in the van and playing the bars across the Southeast as a ragtag group of hit songwriters. That zeal for the moment and strong love for what happens when players meet music lovers has fueled an almost unprecedented rise for the band who’ve written iconic hits for Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt and more.
Joining them on their North American dates are two artists who both clearly share the dream that originally brought Old Dominion together over a decade ago. 2X ACM Award nominee, 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, and 2022/2023 VarietyHitmaker, ERNEST and rising country singer/songwriter Redferrin.
“If there’s one thing we learned from our summers playing shows and festivals,” Ramsey offers, “it’s that you can create one really great party by bringing people with you who share your energy, commitment to the fans and desire to really have fun on that stage. Everybody we’re bringing with us knows how to have a great time up there, and they share our love for the people who love our music. I can’t wait to get these evenings started.”
And as Old Dominion demonstrated after raising over $1.25M through their celebratory 7 for 7 Ryman Residency, it’s not enough to pull up and play. The Virginia-rooted players want to use their popularity to do good things, especially through music. For their How Good Is That – World Tour, Old Dominion will team up with Propeller, the social impact platform, to support the work of Save the Music, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students, schools and communities to reach their full potential through music. Save The Music partners with public school districts to donate grants in the form of new musical instruments, technology, equipment, and resources for music teachers. Through Propeller, concertgoers can be entered to win exclusive experiences and prizes throughout the How Good Is That – World Tour.
“It was important to us to start the year by setting a tone of giving back, which we did with our Ryman Residency shows” Ramsey explains, “but its also just as important to us, to carry that though the entire tour.”
