Steven Mark Swanson, age 59, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 6:35 AM – Monday, July 3, 2017, at his home.
Funeral services celebrating Steven’s life will be held 11:00 AM – Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois, with Bro. Carroll Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Oakridge Cemetery in Effingham, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In loving memory of Steven, memorials may be made to Gideon’s. Steven was born on August 6, 1957, at Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, Arizona, the son of Gordon I. and Sylvia I. (Borgen) Swanson.
Steven graduated from Newton Community High School in 1975 and from Olney Central College in 1977. He owned and operated Comfort Zone Technologies.
Steven was a member of the Winterrowd Christian Church in Winterrowd, Illinois. He enjoyed lending a helping hand and working on his cars.
Steven is survived by: Children – Jason Swanson of Chancey, Illinois, Daniel Swanson of Olney, Illinois and Angelina Branstetter of Olney, Illinois, Grandchildren – Madelyn Swanson, Grayce Swanson, Addison Shewmake, Brothers – Robert (Debbie) Swanson of Phoenix, Arizona and David (Kathleen) Swanson of Land O Lakes, Florida Sister – Sandra Ardy of Phoenix, Arizona
Steven was preceded in death by his parents.
