One person was injured in an accident at Planet Fitness in Mattoon this morning. According to the Mattoon Police Department, Sandra Ohm accidentally drove her minivan into the business, striking three people. The injured person, whose name was not released, was transported to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center with minor injuries.
Planet Fitness has issued this statement through a company representative: “As a result of the incident that took place at the Mattoon Planet Fitness today, the club is temporarily closed. Our thoughts are with the individual who was injured and we are currently working closely with the local authorities.”
