Glenn Richard Heiserman, 79, of Lakewood, IL passed away at 3:41 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 in the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL.
Glenn was born on August 14, 1941, in Decatur, the son of Richard and Virginia (Nien) Heiserman. Glenn and Dottie (Hettinger) Heiserman were united in holy matrimony on June 4, 1960, in Lovington, and were blessed to celebrate 60 years of marriage. Glenn farmed in the Lakewood area. He also owned and operated Heiserman Construction and ran the Cowden Lumber Yard for many years. Glenn was a past member of the First Christian Church of Cowden. He enjoyed riding horses, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Glenn leaves behind his loving wife, Dottie Heiserman of Lakewood; daughter, Kim (Brad) Bunch of Ramsey; sons: Butch (Sandy) Heiserman of Herrick, John (Jamie) Heiserman of Beecher City, Jeremy (Stacy) Heiserman of Cowden and Holly Heiserman of Lakewood; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings: Donna (Ralph) Cook of Lake City, Ron Heiserman of Middlesworth and Cheryl (Craig) Fahs of Warrensburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Janet Heiserman.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden followed by the funeral service at noon with Pastor Terry Waters officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery in rural Cowden. Memorials may be made in Glenn’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation and mailed to Lockart-Green Funeral Home, 302 W. Main St., Shelbyville, IL 62565.
