ISP Conducts Death Investigation in Beardstown
BEARDSTOWN – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 4 and Division of Forensic Services Crime Scene Investigators were requested by the Beardstown Police Department (BPD) to investigate a suspicious death in Beardstown, Illinois.
On Friday, May 31, 2024, at approximately 7:17 PM, the Beardstown Police Department responded to a 911 call at residence in the 1400 block of Clay Street in Beardstown, Illinois. Upon arrival, BPD and Cass County Sheriff’s Department officers located a male subject deceased in a vehicle near the residence. ISP agents were notified of the death and responded to the scene in Beardstown to conduct a death investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2024 in Springfield, Illinois. Results of the autopsy and pending toxicology results may take several weeks.
