More Music Middays with Kurtis

Thank you for visiting my little space on the WMCI website! I’m born and raised right here in East Central Illinois. I’m originally from Paris, IL and now as soon as someone finds out I’m from Paris they ask, “Do you know Brett Eldredge?!” Yes, I do. And no, I won’t give you his phone number.

Radio is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I guess I was a weird kid because by the age of 6 I knew I wanted to work in broadcasting. Somewhere my parents still have tapes of me with a squeaky voice pretending to be a DJ and introducing songs I’d heard on the radio. I’m sure if you ask nicely, they’d gladly bust those out to embarrass me.

I love East Central Illinois. I’m passionate about working with Special Olympics Illinois, The American Red Cross, and the YMCA. I’ve also been on a weight loss journey since 2015 and love to talk about that experience with people on a similar path.

I’m a fan of Chicago sports teams, boxing, MMA, a movie & music buff, self-professed “pro wrestling nerd,” amateur musician, mediocre karaoke performer, and above all else I love my family more than anything.
